Paris in Winter

on

At the end of November I had a work trip to Paris and the timing worked out such that Kelley was able to come. The temperatures in Paris were brisk clocking in around 32°F but it was a wonderful opportunity for Kelley and I to explore the city in a different season without a specific agenda and see where our feet serendipitously took us.

The night we arrived there was a running race throughout town, which made for some nice photographs.

The next day we walked through town and discovered this Christmas market. The highlight of which was the ultimate sledding jump, which was free! As you can see in the picture below, the drop into the jump was steep and then you are launched onto a large airbag – impressive! Paris Christmas-114Paris Christmas-113Paris Christmas-112Paris Christmas-111

Our legs took us through Jardin du Luxembourg and we discovered this replica Statue of Liberty, which is one of the many seen throughout the city.

It’s almost our turn at L’as du Falafel to get out falafel fix!

And of course a trip to Paris is not complete without the ubiquitous Eiffle Tower photo – or four…
